Currently, 70 million people around the world today cannot get basic education, and more than half of them are female. ⁣

For many years, girls and women have been discriminated against based on their gender. ⁣⁣⁣
It wasn’t until the 19th century that most female students were permitted to pursue higher education.⁣⁣⁣

Shockingly, around the world today, women still have less access to education than men, 1/4 of young women between 15-24 will not finish primary school as a result of gender Inequality.⁣⁣
Gender Inequality is the social process by which men and women are not treated as equals and deprived of opportunities and rights.⁣⁣
Gender Inequality is evident in all institutions in the world. The culture that we live in is one dominated by masculinity.⁣
While women have made great strides in academia, they are still not at a level to their male counterparts, but we surely hope women will continue to grow and hopefully secure good employment opportunities.
There is a need to address Gender Inequality which is one of the biggest issues, Nigeria is facing.
